"The Dead who Live"
A night of horror and terror it was when they took over. The city was dead silent besides the people who were actually alive. Other people you would see seemed alive but they were dead to the bone. Yet, their bodies would move through the streets looking for something or someone to feed on. Although mostly everyone was dead a few were still alive and that is where this story begins.
“Doctor! Doctor! A young Lady yelled out running from a surgery room in shock. The older doctor turned around and peered down the hall at the doorway. A man that had glowing red eyes ran out of the room even though he had some type of an acid burn all over his face. As the Person ran swiftly towards them he realized that he was the same person who he had just been working on. “But he was dead” he said to himself quietly as the demonic person ran at him.
He turned his head swiftly to the side of him and saw the young women sprinting right past him. He turned back and the red eyed man was in the air and hurtling him self at the doctor. He knocked the doctor down so hard that he almost fell unconscious. But the doctor knew this was no ordinary man when the red-eyed man sunk his teeth into his arm. The doctor reacted by kicking him off and sending him head first into the wall and slowly the man’s eyes faded to a light blue color and died. Then as he stood up he fell light headed and fainted to the floor.
Later that night around eight Zack, Billy, Taylor and I were hanging out in my basement. We were watching a movie when all of a sudden a crash came from up stairs. We all said nothing and launched are selves off the couch and up the stairs.
The door swung open and saw a man biting my mom on the neck. I didn’t know what to do so, I picked up a pot ran over and hit hall my strength on the head. The man flew off her and fell on the ground dead. I grabbed her as she fainted, Brought her to the basement and laid her on the coach.
I told Billy to run up stairs and get the first aid kit. He ran up and grabbed it from the cabinet in the kitchen then ran back looking terrified. “Are you alright?” I said, “There is more than one of the guys you killed. There is about one hundred of them walking around outside.” he said. Taylor and Zack’s mouths dropped as they both ran up stairs and locked the basement door. That was the last thing said for a while.
Then after an hour Taylor said, “we have to get out of this place or we might die” I walk over to pick my mom up I agreed with her one hundred percent. When her eyes shot open and she swung her hand out trying to grab me but missed. I jumped back and look directly into her shining red eyes and Zack said, “ she’s one of them. We have to kill her or we will turn into the same thing.” I knew we had to but I couldn’t. She was my mom I couldn’t kill her But I had to. Before I could even touch her Zack grabbed a hammer and through it at her with amazing strength that it snapper her neck and she fell limply on the ground. I stumbled to my knees trying to pretend that none of this was real. But it was so, I got back up and ran at Zack as if I wanted to kill him but then I got control of my anger and told ever one “get a something to fight with were getting out here.”
I turned and looked for a weapon and I found a pistol that my mom kept down here for emergencies. It was loaded with twelve bullets I grabbed a pack just in case I need more ammo. Taylor grabbed a baseball bat and ran up the stares everyone else grabbed something and ran after her.
We reached the front door and were about to go out but I stopped them and said, “ maybe we should walk on the roofs to get out of the city. We walked up the stares to find that a zombie was in my room. I turned around and told them to hold their tounge and keep quiet and stay. I walked in cautiously and lifted my gun up in front of me. Suddenly the Zombie turned around and with no control over myself, Bam! went the gun as I shot three raging bullets into the zombie's face. It flipped back and fell to the floor. Blood was gushing out of his head like a waterfall. Then Taylor and Billy ran in to the room Taylor said “they are coming they heard you shoot the gun.”
Then we were climbing out the window when I said, “Oh no Where is Zack!” I turned jumped back through the window and flew down the stairs where I found Zack beating zombies with an axe. The axe was dancing acrossed the zombies so fast i could barly see it. I grabbed him and pulled him up the stair and pushed him out the window. The zombies were running up the stair and in my room I ripped out my gun and told Zack to run after Taylor and Billy to run. I shot all the ammo in my gun, but it didn’t help there seemed to be more.
Then jumped out the window and went roof to roof till I caught up to my friends. We turned back to see if the zombies were following us and they weren’t. They all rolled off the roof to the ground. But there was thousands below use. We sat and thought how to get out of the city we knew there was barricades at all the exits of our city.
Then we figured that if we kept following the roofs we would come up to an exit of the city were there was people waiting for people that are still alive. So we got up and kept running. We were sprinting across the roofs when Billy tripped and rolled off to the endless pit of zombies below. I jumped and slid to the side of the roof and grabbed his hand but I couldn’t hold him and he said, “you have to let me go if you don’t you will die also!” but I couldn’t Then the zombies started to jump and they grabbed hold of him and pulled him under them selves. All that I could hear was his screams. I would have cried but I had no time they are going to learn how to get on the roofs. Zack grabbed me and pulled me up and forced me to run.
We ran and jumped roof to roof until we came up to the city exit. I looked down and saw thousands of zombies below. The army men guarding the gate started to shoot for a path to form so we could escape. When there was a clear path we jumped down and a surge of adrenalin flushed through are bodies and forced us to run as fast as we could. When I looked back there was about ten zombies chasing us but then they all collapsed when the army men open fire on them again.
We reached the exit and they put Zack on a stretcher and brought him to the hospital because he had a gash in his arm. He told them he got it when he was fighting off Zombies and he hit his arm on the counter. But, I knew this was only the beginning.

tell me what you like and dont like about this...
