"The Phantom of Eastside Mansion"

The dark sky was crying and screaming the night Emma Tisdale visited Eastside Mansion. A phantom was said to be living there and haunted whoever set foot in the dreaded house. Emma never really believed in ghosts until that very night. That night was like no other.

It was the middle of October, 2001. Emma was driving to California and decided to stay for one night at the mansion. Her friend’s parents owned the mansion and said she could visit any time she flew to the area. Emma thought the old mansion would be the same as any other typical old house, having cobwebs with creaky floorboards and doors. This mansion seemed different. It was as clean as could be. You couldn’t tell a ghost lived there, at least not by looking at it. After Emma settled into her room, she went to the kitchen to grab something to eat. Suddenly, a flash of furious lightning occurred and the house went pitch black. Then, out of nowhere, Emma heard a whispering voice say, “Leave, now!” Emma looked around every which way frantically. She saw nothing. Her mind exploded with frightning thoughts. Emma started to run to the front door but it slammed shut with a great “bang!” and then locked with a “click.” The voice came back saying, “Leave, now!” over and over. Then, it went silent. Next, she heard a noise upstairs. Emma grabbed a flashlight and when she reached the top of the stairs it stopped. She checked the bedroom, nothing there. She went to the study, nothing. Emma heard the voice again. “You had your chance,” it said. Then, out of nowhere, a swinging gold pocket watch appeared in front of her. Naturally, her eyes followed it. Slowly it moved and Emma followed it. She was in a trance. It lead her to a big brown brick fireplace. All of a sudden like a bolt from the blue, the phone rang and the lights flickered. Emma suddenly woke up out of the trance and ran to the front door. The door was locked. She ran to every window and they wouldn’t budge. Next, she heard the front door open. Emma ran out of the big glass door and headed to her car. She tried to start up the engine, but the car wouldn’t start. A dark figure was approaching her car holding its arms out like a zombie. Before Emma knew it, the car lifted off the ground flying and twirling through the air hitting trees and bushes. She screamed at the top of her lungs as she flew out of the car and landed with a thump. Emma opened her eyes and sat bolt upright in her bed, sweat pouring down her face!

That was a really detailed story I thought it was really goood, u had me thinking that she reallly was in the mansion. I liked how you put 2 onomatopoeia's for the sound of the door locking & slaming it's really good I really liked your story.

You should describe what the mansion looked like more.
