Hi, my name is A_____ and I’m here to tell you about the exciting fairy-tale romance I’ve read this year called once Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris. It’s about a commoner named Christian who lives with a troll named Edric in a cave. He spots Princess Marigold on the terrace of her castle one day and automatically falls in love with her. Christian decides to work at the castle to earn some money. He then meets Queen Olympia and king Swithbert. One day when he was finishing up one of his chores, he overheard Queen Olympia’s diabolical plot to take over the kingdom. Christian then warns Marigold and they have to work together to stop Queen Olympia’s plan to take over the kingdom from happening. This book is considered to be happily-ever-after turned upside down, inside out, and completely over the top. So, if you are interested in reading this book, check it out at your local library or purchase it from your local bookstore.
